Was sind Google Robots? Und was kann der My Public Life™ für mich tun?
I've seen a Google Robot in a DVD shop staring at the backside of a DVD for half a minute, then putting it back in the shelf. Why?Our Google Robots try to record as much information as possible, and this includes movies. As you may know, Google Robots have a micro laser to read from storage devices such as DVDs, CD-ROMs, or even exotic devices from the 1980s (people at that time used so-called "floppy discs," "music tapes," or "gramophone records"). Additionally, a Google Robot may visit the cinema, watch TV, go to a concert, or attend a public reading.

1985 – A variant of C with object oriented capabilities, called C With Classes, is ready to go commercial. However, the name C With Classes is considered too clear and easy for outsiders to understand, so the commercial version is called C++. — History of the C family of languages

In the ritual, all the pilgrims must pass "pillars" called al-Jamarat, which represent the devil and which the faithful pelt with stones to purge themselves of sin. Man lernt ja immer was, wenn man Scott Adams' Dilbertblog liest:
I think it?s interesting that when you pray to God for a new bike, it hardly ever materializes in your bedroom within seconds. But when you throw stones at the devil, quite often you get an immediate response. That?s an example of good customer service. — The Devil

Programs and APIs should not give users the choice of doing the wrong thing. In cases where the right thing is obvious, the program should just go ahead and do it. Excessive configuration options are confusing and lead to exponential growth of program complexity. Resist the urge to add every option because someone, somewhere might need it. Strive for simplicity first, and only add extra options if they prove to be needed in practice. Most of your users will never miss the complicated options. — Do the Wrong Thing

Die BBC hat eine Liste der "100 things we didn't know this time last year".
6. The London borough of Westminster has an average of 20 pieces of chewing gum for every square metre of pavement.
Was ich letztes Jahr (oder bis gestern) nicht wußte, ist, dass sich die Quadratmeter doch langsam auch auf der Insel durchsetzen.
