Tim Bray über das Release von Reiser4 (journaling file system für Linux) und die "Steigerung" der Performance von Festplatten im Vergleich zu CPUs: I think the lesson is obvious: for high-performance applications, keep your data away from those filthy disks, no matter what filesystem, use memory.

In meinem Projekt halte ich auch alle Daten im Speicher. Und will die ganze Zeit auf Disk-Datenhaltung umstellen. Vielleicht überleg ich mir das ja nochmal...
