EJB Container Managed Persistence hat einen schlechten Ruf. Der neue Standard für die Konkurrenz-Technik Java Data Objects 2.0 wurde heute niedergestimmt. Zum Ausgleich sieht es so aus, als ob JDO durch die Hintertür gleich wieder reinkommt:

Richard Monson-Haefel: The death knell: The JCP EC rejects JDO 2.0: "Right now it makes more sense to use JDO or Hibernate than it does to use EJB 2.0/2.1 container-managed persistence. Why? Well, with EJB 3.0 the programming model moves away from EJB CMP and toward the JDO and Hibernate models. So, if you want a smooth transition to EJB 3.0 POJO persistence in the future, then you're better off using JDO or Hibernate now rather than EJB 2.0/2.1 CMP."
